Welcome to the October edition of the Salou Scene Salou is located on the Eastern coast of Spain, in the province of Catalunya which borders the Mediterranean Sea. This area of the shoreline is known as the Costa Daurada, meaning "Golden Coast" because of it's lovely sandy beaches. Whether you're on holiday, or a permanent resident, you will find something that pleases you here. The culture seekers amongst you will be happy, with sightseeing galore in the surrounding areas, beautiful countryside, ancient castles and monasteries, architectural wonders and much more. Remember that the temperatures can be still hot in October and there's often a breeze which can be deceiving. Cover up during the hottest hours between 12 midday and 3pm and always use sun cream especially on children, sunburn can be a misery and ruin a holiday.
