The season is winding down, but you will still find lots to see and do in Salou and the weather here is much better than your average Irish or British October!

Salou is located on the Eastern coast of Spain, in the province of Catalunya which borders the Mediterranean Sea. This area of the shoreline is known as the Costa Daurada, meaning "Golden Coast" because of it's lovely sandy beaches. Whether you're on holiday, or a permanent resident, you will find something that pleases you here.
There are hundreds of bars, shops and restaurants to choose from along with some huge clean beaches and an old fashioned promenade to stroll down Jump in a bus or taxi, and in a few minutes you'll be in La Pineda to the North or Cambrils to theSouth both well worth the visit. Barcelona is only an hour and a half awayon the train or bus and the cities of Reus and Tarragona are perfect for shopping.

The culture seekers amongst you will be happy, with sightseeing galore in the surrounding areas, beautiful countryside, ancient castles and monasteries, architectural wonders and much more.

Remember that the temperatures can be still hot in October and there's often a breeze which can be deceiving. Cover up during the hottest hours between 12 midday and 3pm and always use sun cream especially on children, sunburn can be a misery and ruin a holiday.
